As the number one tea brand in households throughout New Zealand, Dilmah had a firm hold in the hot beverage market, and were looking to expand their offering to create new moments and occasions to enjoy their single origin Ceylon tea. They planned to enter the market with three new ready-to-drink ranges including Iced Tea, Low Sugar Tea Soda and Tea Soda Mixers.
As part of the Brave team, I helped to develop branding and packaging for these exciting new products built around a strategy of discovery, innovation and flavour exploration. Our concepts and design systems were influenced by the vibrancy and natural beauty of Sri Lanka, combined with Dilmah's ethical and sustainability values. With the brand's commitment; 15% of their profit goes towards supporting causes in the community, wildlife, and the environment – these products were designed to truly embody their ethos, flavours with impact.
